But, finding the right two-person cot for your next adventure can be pretty tricky because there are so many great options to choose from. We understand how important it is to find the best sleeping set up for your camping trips, which is why we’ve created this ultimate guide to the top two-person camping cots on the market today.

Up next, we’ll walk you through the basics of selecting the right cot. Then, we’ll review 9 of our favorite models that are on the market today before wrapping everything up with some top tips for choosing the best double camping cot for all of your upcoming camping outings.

How To Choose The Best Double Camping Cot For Your Adventures

A quality double camping cot is critical for any camping adventure, so it’s imperative that you find one that’s perfect for your needs. Doing so is a matter of knowing precisely what to look for when you’re shopping around.

Here are some of the most important features to keep in mind as you choose your next two-person camping cot:

  • Comfort: The primary reason to buy a camping cot in the first place is so that you’re comfortable in your tent at night. While comfort is subjective, there are a few key things you can look for in a cot to determine how cozy it might be during your camping adventures. Perhaps the most important factor in whether or not a cot is comfortable is the construction of the actual sleeping surface. Some cots are made with a canvas, nylon, or linen fabric that’s stretched tightly across the frame. These fabrics are the most economical options but they generally don’t feel as comfortable as your bed at home. Alternatively, some companies make cots with foam mattresses or inflatable mattress toppers, which are ideal for people who prioritize comfort over everything else.
  • Weight Capacity: Every cot will have a weight capacity, which dictates precisely how much weight they can support without breaking. However, while some models can accommodate up to 600lbs (272kg), others have just a 400-500lbs (181-226kg) capacity. When choosing a double cot, be sure to consider how much you and your partner weigh together, and then add at least a 20% buffer to determine the minimum weight capacity you need. That way, you can ensure that you’ll find a model that works well for your unique needs.
  • Assembled Size: When you’re at home, a large, spacious bed is considered a luxury. Although you certainly want a double cot that offers both you and your partner enough room to stretch out and relax, a cot that’s too large for your tent isn’t much use, either. So, when shopping for your cot, be sure to consider two key metrics: the amount of space it takes up and how tall it is. As far as space goes, you’ll want to compare the dimensions of your cot to the interior dimensions of your tent. Ideally, the cot shouldn’t take up the entirety of your tent, as you’ll need some space to move around. Additionally, consider how tall the cot is when it’s assembled. Tents with particularly low center heights can be problematic when it comes to larger cots because they will limit how much headroom you have at night.
  • Portability: The portability of any piece of gear comes down to its weight and its packed size. Double cots can be quite heavy – upwards of 50lbs (23kg) – so it’s important that you get a model that you’re physically capable of carrying from your car to your tent. Plus, you’ll want to be sure that whatever double cot you buy isn’t too big to fit in your vehicle. Finally, a carry bag or a set of wheels is very helpful when it comes to transporting a cot to and from the campsite, so keep this in mind as you shop.
  • Ease Of Set-Up: Unless you’re particularly fond of puzzles, spending an hour or two setting up your cot when you arrive at camp isn’t exactly everyone’s idea of a good time. Cots that are easy to set-up are particularly valuable, so keep an eye out for models that come with quick assembly features, like foldable legs. At the same time, it’s generally best to avoid anything that involves tiny screws or other similar bits and bobs that can easily get lost while you’re outside.
  • Durability: No one likes to buy a new piece of gear only to have it break after a few uses. Two-person cots are no exception to this rule. Durability in a cot boils down to the quality of materials used in their construction. Steel is usually the go-to material when it comes to durable cot frames. However, steel is quite heavy, so aluminum is a popular alternative that can offer a better strength-to-weight ratio. It’s also worth paying attention to the actual shape of the legs. Vertical and X-shaped legs will offer the most in terms of rigidity and strength. Meanwhile, C-shaped cot legs are more likely to buckle under pressure, so they are best for people that need a cot for very occasional camping.

Comfort

The Coleman Cot & Mattress Combo is designed to bring the comfort of your bed at home into the outdoors. Unlike many other cots, this model comes with its own inflatable mattress, which can be pumped up to whatever level of firmness is best for your needs.

Additionally, this cot has a built-in ComfortStrong coil system, which helps to provide back support for a better night’s sleep. It also comes with two side tables with cup holders for keeping your most important pieces of gear accessible at night.

Assembled Size

When assembled, this cot is nearly the size of a queen bed, so it provides more than enough room for two campers to stretch out and relax. However, despite its large size, it’s still a suitable size for most family tents.

Portability

With a packed size of 18x18x42in (45.7×45.7×106.7cm), the Coleman Cot & Mattress Combo is about the size of a bag of golf clubs, so it’s small enough to fit in the back of most vehicles.

Plus, even though it’s a bit on the heavier side for a cot at 41.9lbs (19kg), this model does come with an inflatable mattress. So, it’s still a reasonable weight for transporting to and from your campsite.

Ease Of Set-Up

Coleman built this cot so that it’s easy to set up. The cot’s steel frame folds open quickly for quick set-up when you arrive at camp. Meanwhile, the bed comes with an included pump that can be attached to the Double Lock valve for seamless inflation.

Durability

This cot is built with a steel frame that can support up to 600lbs (272.2kg), making it one of the most durable in our review.

What We Liked

What Could Be Improved

  • Includes premium inflatable mattress for comfort
  • Easy to adjust the firmness of the mattress
  • Relatively small packed size
  • Comes with two side tables for storing gear at night
  • Burly steel frame for added durability
  • Inflation pump included
  • Fairly heavy for a cot

Comfort

The Double Kwik Tent Cot features a polyester and mesh fabric that’s stretched over an aluminum frame to provide comfort and support as you sleep.

Since it doesn’t come with an included air mattress, it’s not as comfortable as some of the available alternatives for side sleeping. However, the tautness of the stretched fabric makes the Double Kwik Tent Cot supportive enough for back sleepers that prefer a firmer mattress.

One drawback in terms of comfort with this cot is that it has a metal bar that runs down the middle. Due to this metal bar, sleeping directly in the middle of the cot isn’t very practical nor comfortable. That being said, placing an air mattress on top of the Double Kwik Tent Cot helps to minimize any of the discomfort that this central middle bar might cause.

Assembled Size

At 85x55x24in (215.9×139.7×60.9cm), the Double Kwik Cot is easily the largest model on our list. In terms of length, the cot is larger than a full-sized bed, but it’s just a few inches too narrow to be classified as queen-sized. With that in mind, this cot is more than big enough to comfortably accommodate two adults.

Portability

With a packed size of 42x11x9in (106.7×27.9×22.9cm), the Double Kwik Cot is one of the most compact in our review. It also weighs in at just 30lbs (13.6kg), so it’s light enough to carry from the car to your campsite with minimal difficulty.

Ease Of Set-Up

The Double Kwik Cot can be set up in just a few minutes, thanks to its patented folding system. The aluminum support bars on this two-person cot can also be easily folded and packed away in its included zippered carry bag at the end of your camping trip.

Durability

This cot is rated to hold 550lbs (249.5kg), which is sufficient for most couples. However, while it does have a relatively high maximum weight capacity, the Double Kwik Cot does feature aluminum legs and supports.

Although aluminum is popular among outdoor gear manufacturers because of its light weight, it’s not as durable as some other alternatives, such as steel and titanium. So, while the light weight and portability of the Double Kwik Cot is certainly an asset, it comes at the cost of a decrease in long-term durability.

What We Liked

What Could Be Improved

  • Small packed size for easier transport
  • Comes with its own zippered stuff sack
  • Rated to hold 550lbs (249.5kg)
  • Easy to set up using a patented folding system
  • Aluminum structure is not as durable as steel alternatives
  • Metal bar down the middle reduces comfort for solo sleeping

Comfort

The Outsunny Double Camping Cot’s 600D PVC oxford fabric provides a comfortable area to sleep and relax at the end of a long day of camping. The tautness of the fabric provides ample support, particularly for people who sleep on their back.

But, like many double cots, there is a steel bar running down the middle of this model. So it’s not comfortable for a solo camper that’s looking for a spacious place to stretch out at night. For two campers that like to stick to their side of the bed, though, it’s a solid choice.

Assembled Size

That being said, the assembled size of this bed leaves a bit to be desired. At 76×49.2×35.7in (193×124.9×154.7cm), the Outsunny Double Camping Cot is the smallest in our review. Based on the dimensions of this camp cot, it falls somewhere in between a full and a twin mattress, so it’s borderline too small for use with two larger adults.

Additionally, the length of this camp cot (76in/193cm) makes it suitable only for campers that are fairly short. So, it’s not a great choice for people that normally find that their feet hang off the end of the bed. For shorter campers, though, the small size of this cot isn’t much of a problem and it can actually be seen as an advantage in terms of overall portability.

Portability

The Outsunny Double Camping Cot is one of the lightest on the market at just 24.2lbs (10.9kg). When packed, it’s also just about the size of a set of golf clubs, so it’s easy to store at home and to transport to and from your campsite. It also comes with its own travel bag that makes carrying it from place to place a breeze.

Ease Of Set-Up

In terms of set up and takedown, the Outsunny Double Camping Cot takes the cake. Although Outsunny lists this cot as a “folding cot,” it doesn’t really fold, rather, it collapses.

Unlike many other cots, this one just needs to be expanded from its collapsed size to make it ready for use. This means that set up takes just a few seconds, as there are no small screws to fiddle with or lose as you get your camp ready for the night.

Durability

This camp cot is made with 600D PVC oxford fabric, which is one of the most durable fabrics available. It also features a steel structure, which means it’s strong enough to last throughout years of frequent use.

One drawback of this cot in terms of durability, however, is its low maximum weight capacity. Despite its steel structure, this cot is rated only for 300lbs (136.1kg) or an average maximum weight of 150lbs (68kg) per camper.

For most couples, this weight capacity is too small. When considered in conjunction with the cot’s small size, the low maximum weight capacity of the Outsunny Double Camping Cot means that it is perhaps best suited for two children or for a smaller adult camping with their child.

What We Liked

What Could Be Improved

  • Very affordable
  • Comes with a travel bag for easy transport
  • Easy to set up and pack up
  • Made from a durable 600D PVC oxford fabric
  • Lightweight design is highly portable
  • Fairly low weight capacity (300lbs/136.1kg)

Coleman Queen Deluxe Cot – Extremely comfortable

blank

>> Click Here to See More Photos <<

Comfort

The Coleman Queen Deluxe Cot was designed specifically with comfort in mind. It features a high-quality integrated airbed that can be adjusted to just the right amount of firmness for the perfect night’s sleep. Although it is similar to the other Coleman Cot in this review, the Deluxe model comes with a thicker mattress for added comfort and a built in pump.

This cot also has a built-in ComfortStrong coil system that provides ample back support throughout the night, unlike many airbeds that tend to sag and bend as you sleep. Additionally, it sits high up off the ground, which is more comfortable for campers with limited mobility that have trouble getting in and out of bed at night.

For added convenience, this cot comes with two side tables. Each side table has its own cup holder and can be used to store your most important pieces of gear to help you stay organized at night in your tent.

Assembled Size

When fully assembled, the Coleman Queen Deluxe Cot is more or less the size of a standard queen bed. That means that it provides more than enough space for the vast majority of camping couples to get a good sleep.

With a length of 78 inches (198.1cm), it’s also long enough for all but the tallest of campers to stretch out and relax.

Do keep in mind, however that this cot also comes with two built-in side tables, which extend about 12 inches (30.5cm) from the side of the bed. This is something to keep in mind when comparing the assembled size of the bed to the interior space of your tent to ensure that you have enough room to use all of this cot’s features.

Portability

Despite the Coleman Queen Deluxe Cot’s luxurious assembled size, it has a surprisingly small packed size, which is ideal for transport. However, the cot does tip the scales at 92.6lbs (42kg), which is pretty heavy, even for a double cot.

Due to the cot’s heavy weight, it’s best for campers that like to camp for a longer period of time, rather than people who head out on short day trips. While we wouldn’t say that the weight of this cot is unmanageable, longer camping trips would minimize the number of times one would have to carry the Coleman Queen Deluxe Cot to and from their car.

Ease Of Set-Up

The Coleman Queen Deluxe Cot comes in a nifty travel bag. To set it up, one simply needs to unfold the cot and pop it open inside a tent.

Since the mattress sleeve is already permanently attached to the frame, you simply need to place the inflatable mattress inside the sleeve before inflating it using the built-in pump. The built-in pump can be used to either inflate or deflate the pump in just a few seconds, making for a seamless set-up process.

Durability

When it comes to durability, this cot is made to last. It is built using a durable steel frame that can support up to 500lbs (226.8kg), which is enough for most camping couples. All of this added durability comes at the cost of weight savings, but for a super durable two-person camping cot, it’s hard to beat the Coleman Queen Deluxe.

What We Liked

What Could Be Improved

  • Very comfortable
  • Easy to adjust firmness of the bed
  • Leak-proof inflation valve
  • Built-in air pump
  • Includes two side tables
  • Highly durable construction
  • Very heavy
  • Quite expensive

Comfort

The Disc-O-Bed Cam-O-Bunk features two separate cots that can be combined into a bunk bed or used separately. Each bed on its own provides nearly as much space as a twin bed, making it comfortable enough even for taller adults.

However, when used as a bunk bed, the person on the bottom bunk has under 24 inches (60.1cm) of headroom, which can feel quite constraining. While the headroom of the upper bunk is dictated by the internal ceiling height of the tent, the person on the bottom bunk does not have enough space to sit upright in their bed.

That being said, this cot has a sturdy bed deck that provides enough support for both back and side sleepers. For added comfort, Disc-O-Bed designed this cot without any bars underneath, which eliminates the possibility of pressure points and other sources of discomfort as you sleep.

This cot also comes with an included organizer, which makes it easier to store your most essential pieces of gear as you sleep. This way, you can keep your headlamp and other necessities nearby just in case you need to head to the bathroom in the middle of the night.

Assembled Size

When used as a bunk bed, this cot has an impressively small assembled size. This makes it ideal for tents with smaller floor plans but high ceiling heights or for anyone that wants to save space in their camping shelter.

Portability

This cot system includes two separate carry bags – one for each of the cots. They pack down to a small size and weigh in at about 62lbs (28.1kg). This makes them on the heavier side for cot weight.

But, since they can be carried separately to and from the car, the weight of these cots is less of a concern than for other cots that need to be transported as a single large piece of gear.

Ease Of Set-Up

Unfortunately, set up can be a bit tricky with the Disc-O-Bed Cam-O-Bunk. Unlike many other cots, this model needs to be fully assembled and disassembled before and after each use.

This entire process can take upwards of 30 minutes, particularly if you’re looking to use it as a bunk bed. Thankfully, the cot doesn’t require any tools as each of the pieces snaps into place during assembly. But, when compared to the instant set up design of some of the other options, the Cam-O-Bunk misses the mark.

Durability

With a combined weight capacity of 500lbs (226.8kg), the Cam-O-Bunk is strong enough to accommodate most adults. While the cots are fairly heavy, they are built with powder-coated anti-rust steel, which is durable enough for regular use.

The cot also features 600 denier polyester, which is on-par durability-wise with other top competitors.

What We Liked

What Could Be Improved

  • Provides two separate sleeping areas
  • Included gear organizer
  • Small packed size
  • Space-saving design for small tents
  • Very durable design
  • Fairly heavy for a double cot
  • Tall height requires a tent with high ceiling
  • Limited headroom for the bottom bunk

Comfort

Made specifically with young campers in mind, the Disc-O-Bed Kid-O-Bunk provides a comfortable sleeping area for school-aged children. The two beds are made with a durable 600 denier polyester fabric that contours to the body for added support and comfort at night.

When stacked together, the bottom bunk provides about 24 inches (60.1cm) of headroom. While this isn’t particularly spacious, it is comfortable enough for younger campers. Each bed is also 28 in (71 cm) wide, which is more than enough space for young kids to sleep well.

Additionally, both beds have their own separate gear organizers to help young children keep their personal belongings neat and tidy during their outdoor adventures for a more comfortable camping experience.

Assembled Size

Since this double cot is made for children, it features a smaller assembled size than most other models. This makes the Kid-O-Bunk an ideal choice for saving space in the tent during a family camping trip, particularly if you set it up as a bunk bed.

Portability

The two beds of the Kid-O-Bunk pack into their own storage bags, which makes them easy to carry to and from your campsite. Combined, the beds weigh 34lbs (15.4kg), which is on the low end, even for a two-person cot system. Thus, the Kid-O-Bunk is one of the most portable models in our review.

Ease Of Set-Up

One of the major drawbacks of this cot system is the setup process. Unlike many other double cots, the Kid-O-Bunk needs to be fully assembled before each use. Although this doesn’t require any tools, it can take you up to 30 minutes to set up, especially the first few times.

Durability

Disc-O-Bed built the Kid-O-Bunk using the same great materials that are found in their adult cots. This cot is made using powder-coated steel, which is durable and rugged enough for regular camping. The fabric on these cots is also a 600 denier polyester that is strong enough for the most rambunctious of kids.

What We Liked

What Could Be Improved

  • Kid-friendly design
  • Can be used as bunk beds or two single beds
  • Comes with two gear organizing systems
  • Lightweight and highly portable
  • Durable materials
  • Quite expensive
  • Cot size is too small for most older teens

Comfort

The Outwell Posadas Foldaway cot is an affordable option for people who want a decent amount of comfort while camping but aren’t looking for overwhelming luxury. Outwell made this cot using a single piece of stretched cotton canvas that can contour to the shape of your body.

Like many similar double cots, the Posadas Foldaway does have a center bar separating the two sides of the sleeping area. This can be uncomfortable if you try to sleep directly in the middle of the cot, but isn’t an issue if you stick to one side.

Additionally, the Posadas Foldaway features padded cushions at the head for added comfort as you sleep. These small cushions have a soft mesh cover that allows both for neck support and air circulation around your head on hot summer nights.

Assembled Size

This cot has an assembled size that’s somewhere in between a Full-size bed and a Queen-size bed. Therefore, it has enough space for two adults to stretch out and relax at the end of the day.

Something that sets this cot apart, however, is its high height off the ground. It features a 17.7in (45cm) raised sleeping surface, which is easier to get in and out of at night.

Portability

The Outwell Posadas Foldaway has a packed size of 7.9×10.6×38.2in (20x27x97cm), which is among the smallest on the market. It is also just 29.8lbs (13.5kg), making this cot an ideal choice for people that have limited space in their vehicles for gear when camping.

Ease Of Set-Up

Built with a folding design, the Outwell Posadas Foldaway is quick to set up and takes most people just a few minutes to pitch. No tools or assembly is required when you want to set up this cot, making it a nice option for people who like to simplify their camp set up process.

Durability

The Outwell Posadas Foldaway is built with a powder-coated steel frame. Despite it’s lightweight – just 29.8lbs (13.5kg) – the Foldaway can support 550lbs (250kg) of weight, giving it an impressive strength-to-weight ratio and plenty of durability.

Comfort

The Outwell Centuple Sleep System is a unique option for campers that want good all-around comfort without too many flashy features. What makes this cot unique is its included top mattress, which provides ample comfort as you snooze at night.

Thanks to this mattress topper, which has a soft microfiber covering, the Centuple Sleep System feels a lot like a bed you might have at home. Additionally, due to the included mattress, you don’t feel the center bar under the cot frame, which translates to a better night’s sleep.

Assembled Size

When set up and ready for bedtime, the Centuple Sleep System is just slightly larger than your standard Full-sized bed. This is enough room for two adults to relax comfortably without feeling constrained.

Plus, this cot also sits 18.9” (48cm) off the ground, which means it’s easy to get in and out of when you have to answer nature’s call in the middle of the night.

Portability

Despite its comfy included mattress topper, the Centuple Sleep System is still quite portable and compact. It packs down to a small 7.9×10.6×38.2in (20x27x97cm), so it’s easy to bring in any car when camping. Also, with a weight of just 35.5lbs (16.1kg), this cot is among the lightest options available that also come with a mattress topper.

Ease Of Set-Up

The Centuple Sleep System can be set up in just a few minutes, thanks to its folding design. All you need to do to get it ready is to unfold the legs and unroll the mattress topper before curling into bed for the evening.

Durability

Outwell is known for making durable equipment and the Centuple Sleep System is no exception. This cot has sturdy, powder-coated steel legs that can support an impressive 550lbs (250kg) of weight. However, the cot itself is made with a 300D fabric, which, while strong, is a bit thinner than what’s found on other models.

KingCamp Double Cot – Extra large sleep space

Comfort

The KingCamp Double Cot features a sturdy stretched canvas fabric top, which contours to the shape of the body to provide support. However, while it does have a slightly uncomfortable center bar, KingCamp designed this cot so that it’s easy to use with an air mattress.

If you want additional comfort you can easily slide an inflatable mattress, such as the KingCamp Double Self Inflating Mattress onto the cot. Then, you can attach the mattress to the steel frame using the included straps so your bed doesn’t shift under you during the night.

Assembled Size

This cot is one of the largest on the market, with a 84.6×55.1×18.9in (214.9×139.9x48cm) assembled size. Due to this large size, the KingCamp Double Cot is a particularly good choice for taller campers who can benefit from the bed’s 84.6” (214.9cm) length.

Portability

Although the KingCamp Double Cot boasts a large assembled size, it packs down to a modest 45.5×11.5×11.5in (115.6×29.2×29.2cm). While this packed size is quite long, when packed, this cot is also fairly narrow, so it’s easy to fit in the back of a car.

Additionally, it tips the scales at just 32.4lbs (14.7kg), which is light for a two-person cot of this size. The KingCamp Double Cot also comes with its own wheeled travel bag for seamless transport to and from your car.

Ease Of Set-Up

This cot has an easy-to-use folding design that takes just a few seconds to set up. Once removed from the included carry bag, the cot simply needs to be unfolded and placed in your tent, saving you time in camp upon arrival.

Durability

Even though it’s quite light, the KingCamp Double Cot offers a maximum carrying capacity of 550lbs (250kg), thanks to its heavy-duty steel frame. For added durability, this cot also features extra-thick 1200D Jacquard Oxford canvas which is rip-resistant for long-term use.

Double Camping Cots: Everything You Need To Know

A two-person cot might seem like a simple piece of gear, but finding the right one is trickier than it might seem. Here are some of the most important things you need to know about choosing the best camping cot for your adventures:

What Is A Double Camping Cot And How Does It Work?

A double camping cot is basically a two-person cot. Cots are a type of portable camping bed that can be folded up and transported to and from different campsites.

To use a cot, you simply need to remove it from its carry bag, unfold it, and extend the legs. Most cots are built with a large piece of durable fabric that’s stretched over a metal frame which serves as your sleeping area.

You can choose to sleep directly on a cot or you can place a mattress pad or a smaller air mattress on top of the cot for more comfort at night.

Is A Double Camping Cot Better Than An Air Mattress?

Many campers find themselves having to make a decision between getting a cot and an air mattress for their outdoor adventures. While both have their advantages and disadvantages, camping cots usually reign supreme because they are more functional for outdoor living.

Camping cots are preferred to standard air mattresses that you might use for guests at home because they tend to be lighter and much more portable. As we’ve already mentioned, portability is of the utmost importance for campers because you need to be able to fit all of your gear in your vehicle and then carry it from your parking spot to your campsite.

Additionally, a quality two-person cot will make sleeping under the stars very comfortable. You can also place a foam mattress pad or smaller inflatable camping mattress onto a cot for added comfort and back support as you sleep.

Plus, cots allow you to sleep off of the ground, which makes it easier for you to get in and out of them at night if you have to answer nature’s call after the sun sets. The elevated position of cots also makes it less likely that bugs and other creepy crawlies can bite you at night. This is especially important if you live somewhere with venomous insects and reptiles or anywhere that’s known for having a lot of ticks.

Are Double Camping Cots Good For Winter Camping?

Winter camping is a great way to enjoy the beauty of the outdoors during the colder months of the year. But, if you’re not prepared, the cold temperatures can be dangerous to your health.

Double camping cots are a good option for winter camping because their elevated position can actually help keep you warmer than you would be if you were sleeping directly on the ground with a sleeping bag. During the winter, the ground can get quite cold and sleeping directly on the ground often results in a lot of lost body heat.

Although the air, too, is cold during the winter months, since it’s not nearly as cold as the ground, the elevated position of your cot can help you retain some of your body’s natural heat. If you layer a mattress pad or an air mattress on top of your cot, you can stay even warmer when camping during the wintertime.

Other Uses Of Double Camping Cots

A two-person cot can be used for a whole lot more than just camping. Here are some other ways to use your cot, even when you’re not sleeping under the stars:

  • Extra Guest Bed: Cots are a great place to sleep for a few nights, even when you’re indoors. If you have guests over for the weekend but don’t have enough space in your guest room for all of them, a cot is a nice way to keep them comfortable at night. Cots are especially useful as an extra bed for children during sleepovers.
  • Spare Couch: If you regularly find that you don’t have enough space on the couch for family movie nights, your double cot can be a good alternative. Temporarily setting up your cot in the living room can provide some extra space when you all gather around the TV. Plus, it keeps your kids at arms’ length so they can’t steal your popcorn.
  • Seating For Sports Games: A cot can be a great place to sit during a child’s soccer match or football game when you’re cheering from the sidelines. They also offer plenty of space to set out any snacks that you’ve brought for the team to enjoy during halftime.

Sometimes cots come integrated with a tent, in which case they are called tent cots or cot tents. These are very functional and a great alternative to buying a tent and a cot separately. Make sure to check our tent cots article for reviews of the best ones.
